Colton has been working as a handyman for nearly a decade, building a strong foundation of hands-on experience across a wide range of residential projects. He is naturally creative, intuitive, and deeply committed to hard work and quality craftsmanship. Colton values genuine connection and takes pride in building strong relationships within his community. Above all, he loves Jesus and strives to glorify Him through his work, using every project as an opportunity to reflect integrity, service, and care for others. Outside of work, Colton enjoys spending time outdoors and embracing adventure—most recently developing a passion for golf in his free time.
Jake
Boontjer
Jake is the eldest of the Boontjer brothers and brings a thoughtful, ideas-driven approach to the work he does. He has a strong curiosity for how things function and a natural drive to understand not just how something is built, but why it is built that way. Jake and Colton are often known as a dynamic duo—pushing and supporting one another to grow, improve, and stay committed to excellence in their craft.
Currently, Jake is taking on the renovation of his own RV, combining his hands-on skills with his love for problem-solving and design. The goal is to create a space that allows him to pursue a more mobile, adventure-focused lifestyle—bringing his work ethic and curiosity with him wherever the road leads.

That legacy is well-known and trusted throughout our local community. Seven years ago, I started as a handyman, working as the sole employee for a growing start-up company.

Boontjer Built is driven by a desire to help local young adults develop essential hands-on skills in the trades—especially those who are curious, motivated, and eager to understand how things work and how they can be fixed. Our goal is to one day create a workshop-based learning space that strengthens practical knowledge, builds confidence through experience, and helps shape the future of skilled trades in our community.
